Dr. Amir Khoshbin is an orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in adult hip and knee reconstruction and trauma. His clinical practice focuses on primary and complex revision joint arthroplasty, Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) hip replacement, and the management of complex lower extremity trauma, including pelvic and acetabular fractures.
He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Toronto, where he also undertook residency training in orthopaedic surgery. During residency, he was enrolled in the Surgeon Scientist Program and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology. Dr. Khoshbin then pursued advanced fellowship training in orthopaedic trauma at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston through the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA), followed by a second fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at the world-renowned Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
Dr. Khoshbin currently serves as Division Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital and holds the inaugural Agnico Eagle Chair in Joint Arthroplasty. He is also the 2025 Chair of Research for the Canadian Arthroplasty Society and the Chair of Research for the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Toronto.
An accomplished academic surgeon, Dr. Khoshbin has authored more than one hundred peer-reviewed publications and secured competitive research funding from leading organizations including the OTA, AAHKS, COA, AAOS, CIHR, and AO Trauma. He currently serves as senior principal investigator for three international randomized controlled trials. His research leadership and clinical expertise continue to advance the field of orthopaedic surgery both nationally and internationally.

She has spent their entire career at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, ON, where she has served as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist since 2006, after a long tenure as a Physiotherapist starting in 1987.
In addition to clinical practice, Caroline has made significant contributions to the field of education, holding Lecturer Status in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto from 2013 to 2016. Her commitment to student development has been recognized multiple times, including numerous Physical Therapy Recognition Awards from the University of Toronto.
Academically, Caroline holds a Master of Rehabilitation Science (2010) from the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science (Physical Therapy) (1987) from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine. She also completed the ACPAC Program through the University of Toronto and St. Michael’s Hospital in 2006.
